TERMS AND CONDITIONS – SAINTS WINES SPAR AIRTIME CAMPAIGN
All persons (‘the entrants’) entering the The Saints Wines, on behalf of DGB (Proprietary) Limited, Competition (‘the promotional competition’) agree that the competition rules as set out in these terms and conditions are binding on them. 1. Important notice:
1.1 These terms and conditions and competition rules contain certain terms and conditions which appear in similar text style to this clause and which:
▪ may limit the risk or liability of the promoter or a third party; and/or
▪ may create risk or liability for the entrant; and/or
▪ may compel the entrant to indemnify the promoter or a third party; and/or
▪ serves as an acknowledgement, by the entrant, of a fact.
▪ the entrant cannot be a juristic entity and must be an individual.
1.2 The entrant’s attention is drawn to these terms and conditions because they are important and should be carefully noted.
1.3 Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to, or must be understood to, unlawfully restrict, limit or avoid any rights or obligations, as the case may be, created for either the entrant or the promoter in terms of the South African Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (“the CPA”).
1.4 The entrant acknowledges that by submitting his/her entry to the competition he/she has been given an appropriate opportunity to first read these terms and conditions before entering and that he/she understands and agrees to the terms and conditions.
1.5 All entrants to this promotional competition participate entirely at their own risk. By reading and accepting these terms and conditions, the entrant gives consent to these risks and hereby indemnifies and holds harmless the promoters DGB (Pty) Ltd, their directors, employees and agents of any and all liability pertaining to any damage, cost, injuries and losses of whatever nature sustained as a result of their participation in the competition and related events and activities, save where such damage, cost, injuries and losses are sustained as a result of the gross negligence or wilful misconduct of any indemnified party.
1.6 Applicable Liquor Laws apply.
2. ‘The promotional competition’ is valid from 5 April 2022 – 5 May 2022. Entries close at midnight on 5th of May 2022. No late entries will be considered.
3. The competition is open to all except the following:
3.1 any director, member, partner, employee, or agent of, or consultant to DGB (Pty) Ltd who are the promoters of the competition, or any other companies forming part of the DGB (Pty) Ltd group of companies.
3.2 any suppliers, service providers, or contractors of DGB (Pty) Ltd, being a supplier of goods or services in connection to the competition.
3.3 any spouse, partner, sibling, parent, or child of any of the above.
4. To enter the competition, participants will be required to:
4.1 Buy a bottle of ANY Saints wine from a Spar\Tops Outlets nationally.
4.2 Upon completion of a transaction that qualifies for entry to the competition, a customer will need to retain their till slip.
4.3 A customer will need to take a clear picture of their till slip where the date and purchase of the promotional product is clearly visible and send that picture via WhatsApp to the following number: 072 240 0277 provided on the necktag to stand a chance to win. A confirmation message will be sent to the customer via WhatsApp.
4.4 A customer can enter the competition as many times provided a new till slip is shared via WhatsApp confirming Saints wines purchase.
4.5 Standard Data Rates Apply.
5. Prize:
5.1 2000 qualifying entrants will win their share of R100 000 airtime vouchers (hereafter referred to as ‘the Prize’), split as per below. To qualify for each of the below-mentioned phases, the purchase needs to be made and entry received within the specific timeframe detailed below.
5.2 The draws for the Prize will take place weekly, whereby the winners will be randomly selected and notified by WhatsApp. these dates are subject to change without notice.
▪ Round 1: 11 April 2022 – 400 winners at R50 airtime voucher each
▪ Round 2: 18 April 2022 – 400 winners at R50 airtime voucher each
▪ Round 3: 25 April 2022 – 400 winners at R50 airtime voucher each
▪ Round 4: 2 May 2022 – 400 winners at R50 airtime voucher each
▪ Round 5: 9 May 2022 – 400 winners at R50 airtime voucher each
5.3 To be eligible to win the Prize, entrants must be natural persons residing in South Africa, be in possession of a valid ID and be 18+ years of age.
5.4 The winners will be notified by WhatsApp, on the mobile number (072 240 0277) provided upon entering the competition.
6 General:
6.1 R50 airtime will be credited to the nominated Winner’s cell-phone number facilitated by the Promoter’s (DGB) agency, Mavericks Labs (“the agency”). Provided the Winner’s cell-phone number is a valid pre-paid mobile number, registered on a South African Mobile Network.
6.2 The prize is not exchangeable for cash and is not transferable.
6.3 The Promoter shall have the right to change or terminate the promotional competition immediately and without notice, if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances arise outside of their control (e.g. Alcohol sales bans). In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents.
6.4 DGB (Pty) Ltd’s decision is final, if any dispute arises regarding the competition, and no correspondence will be entered.
6.5 By entering this competition, the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activities related to the competition as DGB (Pty) Ltd may reasonably require, provided that a winner may decline to do so.
6.6 By entering the competition entrants acknowledge that DGB (Pty) Ltd may collect personal information about them, which they provide when they enter the competition. DGB (Pty) Ltd undertake to not sell or share this information with third parties but may disclose the information if required by law.
6.7 The competition is conducted in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa and should any of the competition rules be deemed void or unenforceable, then that rule will be deemed to be deleted and the remaining rules will remain in force.
6.8 DGB (Pty) Ltd reserve the right to amend the competition rules in their reasonable discretion should they consider this appropriate, before the competition closes and any such amendment(s) shall be posted on the website https://thesaintswines.co.za/terms-and-conditions/
6.9 By taking part in this competition, each entrant acknowledges his/her understanding of and agrees to comply with each of the competition rules set out above.
